Ritu Seksaria, a women Entrepreneur who excelled in the field of fashion designing, Image consulting and recently even accessory designing has succeeded to become the owner of a multi-designer couture store in Mumbai called ‘Vyom’ presently.
Coming from a royal family from Rajasthan; she was not only inspired by its beauty and heritage, moreover her grandmother’s outfits kept the legacy of couture going, passing through her mother right down to her.
Around 15 years ago, she started taking orders with her mother and has not stopped budding since then. Her first step in the fashion industry was a small show with Hemant Trivedi who saw a sense of style in her against 12 other co-designers, which motivated her to sprout in her field of skill. Her second show was with Aditya Birla Foundation themed around the Mughal Era based on a Gayatri Mantra, which made her earn an eminent ovation. She won the women’s achievers award by Zee Astitva along with Barkha Dutt, Jaya Bacchan and 3 other renowned personalities in 2004 for women entrepreneurship.
As for Vyom, it was planned in 2008, executed in 2010 and launched in 2011 as a multi-designer store. It’s a 1600 sq. ft. cozy store with special offers personally customized for clients seasonally as well as occasionally. Vyom gives new comers with individual chic a lot of space and opportunity. Besides their warm staff and positive vibes, Vyom offers all type of accessories, jewelry, shoes, bags, Indian couture for women and ethnic wear for men. Sarees being their forte, they are well known for personalizing the customer’s choice to fit his/her taste, which results into a unique attire since the designing is collided with image consultancy alongside. The entire team has been trained to be image consultants. Ritu has also designed clothes for a lot of royal families/personalities like Neetu Kapoor, Hema Malini, Lalita Gupte, etc.
Her vision includes opening a lot of stores and expanding to different cities eventually. She envisions future growth in the fashion world in the form of fashion-styling events that bring people together to exchanging styles and concepts on a massive platform on a regular basis.
Expertise in Indian bridal wear, embroideries mainly into Sarees, Lehenga Sarees and Suit Dupatta for the high end market.
Good knowledge of embroideries / textures and patterns.
Coordinate timely turnaround of sampling.
Understand colors and moods of market trends.
Should be creative in design function and can be work under pressure.
Have Minimum experience of 7 years under some well-known designers in Indian ethnic wear or under some reputed brands in the similar field.
Knowledge of patterns, fabrics, embroideries, sourcing of materials.
